TheChina National Arts Fund project"From Lausanne to Beijing", the 12th International FiberArt Biennale (yunnan-lanmei Exhibition Year) offline exhibition site is still hot andpassionate as promised. Visitors to the site gave high praise and heartfelt admiration:"This is a unique international fiber art feast that I have seen, showcasing the best worksin the world of fiber art today"."It is not too much to describe it as penetrating throughtime and space and penetrating the heart, and it really reflects the diversity and richnessof artistic expression". "People can see traditional techniques bursting forth with greatvitality and expressiveness, infiltrated by contemporary awareness of everyday life"."Shifting from flat to spatial fiber art creation, whether it is ink and wash expression orintangible cultural heritage display, the multiple materials and forms of expressionresonate with the beautiful aspiration of harmony and coexistence between man andnature."

The exhibition is organized by Yunnan Minzu University , the Academy of Art andDesign of Tsinghua University , and Yunnan Provincial Museum , and hosted bLancang-mekong International Vocational Institute of Yunnan Minzu University . As amajor exhibition of contemporary art , it is inherited from the famous SwitzerlandLausanne International Biennale of Tapestry Art , which was established in Beijing , Chinain 2000 , and signed the Beijing Declaration " by artists from 15 countries . Eleven exhibitions have been held , with a total of more than 2 , 500 pieces of work on display .The series of exhibitions have always been closely connected with fiber art educationand industry development , providing a platform for academic exchange betweenteachers and students and cultivating original design talents for related industries , thusprofoundly promoting the development and transformation of the arts and crafts industryThis years Biennale exhibition presents a three-in-one exhibition pattern of display andexchange , academic discussion and cultural promotion . 190 pieces of works from 51countries in six continents were exhibited , including 102 pieces ( groups ) of offline objectsand 88 pieces ( groups ) of digital images.

Thanks to the creative academic planning and active organizationand coordination of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University , Prof Lecheng Linwho saw the picture , planned the situation , and made plans ."The planning of thisexhibition is distinctive , with a high degree of cultural self-confidence and culturalself-improvement excavated . The exhibition promoted the traditional crafts of ethnicminorities and responded to the national One Belt and One Road initiative . It alsopromoted the Lan-me cooperation mechanism for South and Southeast Asia , humanisticcommunications , and strengthened international communication capacity and culturalradiation capacity". Lecheng Lin said ,"The 12th International Fiber Art Biennalefrom Lausanne to Beiing was held in Yunnan Province , bringing traditional Chineseminority art and art from many countries together , especially from the Mekong countriesof Laos , Myanmar , Thailand , and Cambodia . The exhibition will allow audiences in Chinaand abroad to feel Chinas great national sentiment , cultural inclusiveness , the richnessand innovation of Chinese ethnic art . The development trend and potential of fiber art in the world , reflecting the sustainable development concept of fiber art inheritance andnnovation".

Every piece of offline work is carefully installed , every frame of the new mediaproduct is novel and avant-garde , and every visual communication is creative and chiThey make the Lanmei Exhibition year present a different era of new posture . Theinterpreter introduced fiber art as a new art concept based on the continuousdevelopment of traditional textile art , using various fibers as materials to create practicalor ornamental , flat or three-dimensional work , the core of which is the artwork made offiber materials . In addition to traditional weaving , knitting , embroidery , and dyeingmodern fiber art presents the attributes of contemporary art from materials to processesThe concept of fiber art has both traditional craftsmanship and modern constructs , whichclosely relate to human life and production , transcending different ethnic cultures andcovering all stages of human civilizations development , presenting diverse culturalvalues . Fiber works from different regions reflect diverse artistic expressions of variablematerial choices , aesthetics , and techniques . Lecheng Lin , the project leader of the Biennale ( yunnan-lanmei Exhibition Year ) .introduced that through the exhibition , the artists from different time zones and countriescan share the sunshine of the south of beautiful land of Lanmei , convey the good news of "fiber art connects friendship " , and express the wish of  "weaving beauty" together .

Under the epidemic , the road to art exhibition was a difficult one . Artists from all overthe world managed to overcome the difficulties of international postal routes andsuccessfully sent their works by mail . The artist from the hometown of " From Lausanneto Beijing advocate Kivi Kandareli entrusted the Georgian ambassador to bring theexhibited works to China to ensure their safe arrival . The only foreign artist whoparticipated in the offline opening ceremony , Ms Kathrin ( who has been working in Chinafor more than 20 years on the research and design of yarn and clothing ) , brought a largefiber installation for this years Biennale . She chose the Dali dyeing technique andcustomized it for the Yunnan Provincial Museum , reflecting the craftsmanship ofcontemporary artists.

The 12th International Fiber Art Biennale is based on the traditional fiber crafts andmaterials of the region , integrating the conceptual development of contemporary fiber artIt creatively interpreted the historical experience of traditional fiber crafts of variouscountries and nationalities around the world with contemporary vision and technology ina cross-cultural context . It showed the valuable humanistic art tradition of humans . which will further link tradition and modernity , and promote the exchange and development ofart and economy with neighboring countries with culture.
